The floating layer can seal off the water surface in such a way that no oxygen can get into the water and an anaerobic decomposition process can take place. Specially designed for use in large systems. The 3P overflow siphon DN 200 can be connected with a plastic pipe DN 200. The overflow siphon must be securely mounted in the cistern as it has a considerable weight when filled. When the water level is low, the buoyancy force is missing. For this reason, the overflow siphon is fixed in the cistern via several eyelets. It can also be supported on the wall of the rainwater storage tank with a 50 mm HT pipe.
Operating principle: Dirt particles that are lighter than water (e.g. pollen) slowly rise and float on the water surface. This floating layer is removed when the cistern over- flows by the specially shaped overflow siphon with skimmer effect. The floating layer could close off the water surface in such a way that anaerobic decomposition would take place.
